do Home Owners Associations pay state and federal taxes on the ...

Question by merc : do homeowners associations pay state and federal taxes on the income they get from member dues ?
I?m guessing ?non-profit HOA? means they do not pay federal (IRS) taxes ? is that right? what about state (Calif.) tax? Best answer:

. They make no money. Any monetary collected is used for the benefit homeowners.
